In July 2016, Modern Home Tours LLC became the Modern Architecture + Design Society (MA+DS) – a new multi-media entity that not only expands our home tour offerings but brings us closer to fulfilling our core mission: to create a vibrant, global community of modern architecture and design enthusiasts. Our aim is to provide multiple platforms that inspire engagement with the people, places, and things that define the “modern” movement. Our Modern Home Tour series remains the cornerstone of our operation with annual events in cities across the USA (and Canada!).
Our physical in-person events have been paused until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We absolutely will return to hosting physical Modern Home Tours as soon as we are able to conduct them safely for all involved. Our “best guess” right now is Q3 2021.
It’s super easy. When you buy a ticket to one of the virtual Modern Home Tours, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to register and create an account with our online presentation platform, HopIn. The good news: once you attend one of our virtual tours, this step is already done for any future virtual events you attend!
On tour day, join us at the “Stage” area of our livestream event. Watch as a MA+DS host and architect/builder/designer/owner (or combination thereof) walk through the home in a virtual 360˚ space, discussing the project’s architecture and design. Ask questions in the LIVE chat and the host will get you the answers!
After the tour, or if you cannot join us LIVE on tour day, you can rewatch each segment and/or explore the virtual homes on your own time and at your own pace. It’s as easy as that!
When you purchase a ticket to a virtual Modern Home Tour, you will have access to that content for up to a week after the tour (Some homeowners limit the access period at their discretion). Content can be accessed behind a password protected login we will provide. You can watch and rewatch segments and explore the homes as much as you like!

Our virtual Modern Home Tours typically start at 9am local time on tour day, and our live events generally begin at 10am. There will be a 1-hour break during most virtual tours to split the segments evenly into two portions.
For every Modern Home Tour, we will compile a packet of all the materials that would have been made available by participants at their homes on tour. In addition, inquiries and connections can be made through us to any of our tour participants at any time!
Tickets purchased for a virtual Modern Home Tour are much like the tickets for our physical Modern Home Tours – non-transferrable and only to be used by the purchaser. However, the benefit to the Virtual Modern Home Tour is that anyone in the house can watch along with the purchaser! Want to gather the family or have a friend over? Fine by us! However, sharing your subscription or ticket’s access is prohibited.
