A Mid-Century modern Eichler renovation that demonstrates how flexible the original post and beam construction method can be since this house has been re-purposed throughout without adding any floor area. The original redwood, tongue and groove roof deck has been lifted in the living room to form the space enhancing “butterfly” roof profile. A bedroom was converted into a dining room, a carport turned into a garage and the kitchen and bathrooms have been upgraded. A new multi-zone radiant heating system has been added and all windows and doors have been replaced with energy saving insulated units. The very unusual quarter circle lot has been formally landscaped to make its extreme exposure less intrusive for the inhabitants and more functional for entertaining.
