A modern house in inner NE Portland for a family of four.
The L-shaped house is arranged around a courtyard which is a focal point of the house. Sliding glass walls open the living and dining rooms to the courtyard patio. A gas fire pit warms the patio on chilly evenings. Porch roof structures are crafted with heavy timbers, and bolted with steel brackets in the tradition of Northwest warehouses.
