Conceived by Acorn Deck House in 1992, and recently revitalized by LBR Homes, this descending hill side property exhibits its seasoned Zen-filled soul, with an unparalleled level of craftsmanship throughout.
The modern post and beam architecture is combined with a fresh palette of solid mahogany millworks, a clean broken pattern of stucco cladding, and the natural patina from raw steel elements throughout.
A beautiful hand blown floral pendant welcomes guests through the split-level entrance, to either the 1st or 2nd floor living areas, with direct views to the understory and canopy levels of the oak and cedar trees knitted together down the hillside of the back yard.
A modern minimalistic approach was thoughtfully designed to utilize the existing programmatic function, while adding to it in spaces otherwise unnoted. The decommissioned elevator was transformed into a lower guest bathroom, as well as the previously forgotten main floor powder bath. The interior blend of natural quartzite, crisp modern millworks, and exposed structural framing are the perfect display of a design driven renovation to an artfully crafted structure.
